February 2, 2007, Newsletter Issue #25: Consider Specifics When Choosing Chain Link Fencing Around Swimming Pool

Tip of the Week

There are several factors to consider if you would like to use a chain link fence around the perimeter of your swimming pool. They include, but are not limited to:

-The fence should be taller than four feet.

-The openings in the fence should not span more than 1-3/4 inches to discourage children from being able to climb the fence.

The pool fence gate should have a lock on it at all times, with the key stored in a safe, secure place (preferably one not reachable by children).

Both the pool owner and pool fencing contractor should maintain it regularly.
